The XP CD does all the work. Once you boot from it and the blue setup screen and EULA screen disappears, read each screen carefully to perform a specific function.
If you didn't identify the devices in that desktop and obtain the XP drivers before you started, you'll probably discover afterwards that some of the devices don't work and will need their drivers installed.
What's the 7-character "service tag number" on the sticker on that desktop? I done both of suggested. I did format and reinstall , but as soon as prompted:" Aprox.
